Homemade Christmas

I have SO many things I want to make this Christmas! My kids love crafts (especially my almost-5-year-old daughter). Pinterest has saved my bacon this year. Last year I kind of made my own Pinterest with Christmas ideas, saving pictures and links in an Evernote notebook, but this works SO much better. So I'm going to share some of the decorations, recipes, and kid crafts that I have found across the internet -- Pinterest style.

(Also, check out our list of 50 things to do at Christmas -- lots of great ideas for your advent calendar!)

I love this thumb print ornament! It's salt dough, so that would be cheap it sounds like.

I made these ornaments last year with pictures of my kids in the back, and they were very easy and cute!

These are SO easy to make, and I love using pretty scrapbook paper. Will definitely do these with the kids.

I think these glue/string snowballs are SO pretty! Especially if you put a little glitter in the glue.

This is the perfect ornament craft to do with my little ones. Martha Stewart really is a genius. :D

This is the advent calendar I'm making. I have the perfect spot in my living room for this. I'm going to write down what we are doing each day on slips of paper to put under the trees.

I am definitely doing this for my fireplace above the mantle. SO easy and simple, but beautiful.

There are so many cute things to do with pine cones. I love this one!

These snowflakes are just stiffened paper doilies! So pretty!

And in case you need to know how to make a mistletoe kissing ball:

For little hands

This would be a great keepsake

I may use some of these for my advent... using water cups is a great idea! And seems more stable too.

What a great way to preserve favorite little toys!

How cute are these melting snowmen cookies??

Brilliant, no??

Peanut butter balls. Could there be anything wrong with this?? I think not! Perfect for a party.

You will be mom of the year if you serve this snowman pizza :-)

Nutter Butters WITH chocolate? Yes please. And cute to boot!

Believe it or not, this isn't even half of the fun things I've found! Check out the rest on my Christmas board on Pinterest. And share your ideas and findings in the comments. Merry Christmas!!!!
