Braided Headband

I often get into hair funks.  Most days it ends up hanging straight because I just don't think about it.  And though I think straight is cute, it's also very boring to look the same day after day.  My goal for the next few weeks is to think outside the box and try new fun hairstyles.

I started small today with my little headband braid.  I'm sure some of you have seen these, but in case you haven't, I posted a few pictures on how to do it.

Step 1: Pick which side to start on, and clip back the top part of that side.  Use hair right above your ear to make the braid.  You can make it as thick or thin as you like.

Step 2: Braid that piece of hair.  Then cross it over to the other side.

Step 3: Use bobby pins to hold hair down.  Make sure they are gripping hair underneath.

Step 4: Look like a dork while your husband takes your picture.

That's all there is to it.  Now maybe I'll stop being lazy and try a different hair style tomorrow.
