April Birchbox!

My favorite piece of mail came a few days ago! My monthly Birchbox! I'll be honest that this month wasn't as fun as last month, but there will still some great products. Let's jump in:

Weleda Pomegranate Firming Day Cream
I actually haven't tried this yet -- I'm afraid to mess with my daytime moisturizing routine since I'm using my BB cream. But now that I've reached that "magical" age of 30, I probably should try it...

Benta Berry G-1 Exfoliating Facial Cleanser
This is a nice exfoliating cleanser! Probably not any better than my favorite face scrub though :-)

Pangea Organics Lip Balm
This stuff is really nice! My lips are very sensitive -- most lip balms, glosses, and lipsticks make them crack and peel. This does not! It's actually a lot bigger than it looks in this picture. It is almost twice as big as a traditional Chapstik tube, so the price is probably pretty comparable to any other all-natural/organic lip balm, like Burt's Bees.

Wonderstruck Taylor Swift
Sorry, Taylor, this doesn't do it for me. It's a pretty heavy floral scent, in my judgment. I'm very picky about perfumes, so I'm sure lots of people will like this, but I almost got a headache from wearing a tiny bit. I prefer light, fruity, tropical scents. In fact -- if there's a perfume you love that's like that, let me know! I would love to find a good perfume.

And then there were a couple of bonus samples: a nice scrub and eye cream, also from Pangea Organics.

All in all, this was still a fun box to get, and definitely worth my $10! (I am addicted to lip balm, so that right there did it for me ;-) I'm rooting for a fun nail polish next month though... ;-)

BB Cream Follow-up

I am still loving the Garnier BB cream!!! My skin is truly much smoother to the touch (I also exfoliate every few days), and my husband even remarked that it looks "tighter." I'll take that! :-) Today marks 2 weeks of using it. I'm excited to see what 4 or 6 weeks brings!

  1. Hi Lauren, I was wondering how long it took to get on the Birchbox list? I submitted my email and it told me they would be in touch but I'm curious how long it takes? Thanks!

    1. I signed up for it in December, got my notification that I was added in February, and then received my first box in March. So it took awhile!
