Projects: Organizing Your Bathroom the Dollar Tree Way

I am the "put the nail in the wall, and if it doesn't work, make another hole" girl.  Seriously, don't look at my walls up close.  I am not the girl who plans, primes, soaks, waits until it cools off, researches, or reads the directions.

If there's a problem, I find do the solution.  It usually is not the best solution, and my projects, tangible or intangible, often fall apart.

It takes some people weeks or months to paint a room in their house.  Last year, I painted every room in our small house in a week.  Please don't think I'm bragging.  The paint spots on the ceiling and trim reveal more than a sloppy painter.  They give away my "Who cares!  Get it done." attitude.

With that said, I'm starting a mini-series entitled "Projects".  Every few months, I get the project bug, and tear the house apart....You can imagine my husband is thrilled by this.  (Sarcasm)

This week I was going crazy because my master bathroom was basically disgusting.  Here's a nice little picture of one of my drawers.

It got to the point where I was buying new hair ties, bobby pins, etc. for the simple reason that I couldn't find any in the chaos.

So without thinking, I threw three kids under the age of three in my sexy minivan, and drove on down to the local Dollar Tree.  A few hours and dollars later, this is what I came up with.

Drawer 1: Your minds are blown right?  Yeah, it's a fruit tray.
Drawer 2

I spray painted and hot-glued some plates to a goblet type glass and a candlestick  I also purchased at the Dollar Tree.  It now holds some of my perfumes, lotions, nail-polishes, and other miscellaneous items.

Sort of fancy schmancy right?  Hope you guys check back in for more inexpensive/spur of the moment projects.
