Hey everyone! I've had a very busy month this last month. To top it off, I've been sick, sick, sick... Not the usual kind of sick. It's the good kind, if there is a good kind... We're expecting baby number three this February! Today begins my second trimester, and I'm hoping that means the end of me getting sick every time I smell spicy food, bend over, or even put my hair in a ponytail (so weird I know).
I recently decided to take time out from kids, schedules, and throw-up to rope Lauren and Susan into one of my beautifying schemes. Last month, I took pictures of a wedding, and the bride and bridesmaids had their make-up done for free at Clinique in Dillard's. They all looked great after, and I thought it'd be fun to see how someone else would do my make-up.
Here's some fun pictures from that day. Also, as you can tell by the pictures, this was right before Lauren delivered her sweet baby boy. :)
And here's a few close-ups after we went home.
In case you're wondering what we thought... Lauren said she wasn't crazy about her eye make-up, and she didn't like that they didn't use under eye concealer. She didn't hate it though.
Susan thought her make-up was too heavy on her eyes, and would have liked it more if it was lighter.
I didn't like the amount of face make-up they used on me, but I liked the lip gloss (which rubbed off by the time I got home.
Last, my husband took one look at me and said I was scary.... so there's that.
All in all, it was a fun experience, and I had a good afternoon hanging out with my friends. I might even try it again. I'll just make sure to wash my face before going home to hubby. ;)
P.S. My husband read this before I posted it, and wanted to clarify that he doesn't like face make-up, which is what made me look scary... Would it be totally wrong if I posted a list titled "don't say this to your pregnant wife"?
