How to create a cozy kitchen corner for yourself {plus a New Year's goal}

One of my New Year's goals is to drink more water. I won't go into all the wonderful benefits to drinking water since Susan did last year (check it out...it's awesome!). But if you're like me, you might need a little extra motivation to get your water drinking habit in start mode!

If it's pretty, I'll notice it! So, I decided to make a little place in my kitchen that would inspire me to drink my water. I call it my cozy kitchen corner...and here's how you can make your own! :-)

This is a great DIY project! ;-) As you can see in the picture above, the elements needed to make this luxurious, cozy corner are as follows:

1) some free space on your kitchen counter (yes, I know--this is the hardest part of the project; but declutter and clear off some space! you'll be so happy you did)

2) a lovely glass beverage dispenser (I got mine from Walmart for $18! It holds 1.5 gallons)

3) water/ice (important part of this project if you want to really accomplish your goal of drinking more water)

4) some pretty accessories to go around your dispenser such as a potted plant, flowers, candles, and a cute picture of your adorable kids (well, at least they're adorable in the photo, right?) (P.S. you do not need the paper towel rack in your cozy corner...it's optional) :-D

And if you REALLY want to make this corner super cozy, set up a little teapot with a cup and saucer for that quick cuppa hot tea! It'll make your corner so much prettier!

And that's it! Voila!

Does drinking tea count as drinking water??

What's your favorite kind of tea? Mine's Earl Grey...

Drinking water is so much fun now!

 I would also like to use my new dispenser for spa water. Doesn't that sound so relaxing and wonderful? Susan was the first person to introduce us Defrump Me gals to spa water in THIS POST. I can't wait to try it! Of course, after I had the idea to use my dispenser for spa water, I looked on pinterest and saw that a million other women had already had the same idea; and of course, their spa water dispensers blew my idea out of the water (no pun intended)!

Here's an example...umm, wow. Ah well. I still give myself some creative credit since I came up with the idea before I looked at pinterest. Hehe.

Hope you get a chance to create your own cozy kitchen corner! And be sure to drink your water!!

Blessings, friends!
